Glad I found you! I miss you guys terribly. I did listen to 106.5 when they brought Valentine in the morning on but frankly the rude and other sometimes derogatory comments are not what I want. Done with them.

Keep us updated on where you’ll be!

Hey guys. I wanted to say thank you for still being the stand up guys that you are and supporting the Radiothon. I was a change ganger and was proud to be a part of the radiothon – even though I miss you both! My daughter is a Rainbow Baby, and I will ALWAYS support the cause, but I wish you were still the leaders of the cause!
    Thanks again

Hi, guys, I really miss you in the morning. I listen to WGAR in the morning because they are the closest I could find to you guys with the wit, humor and hometown info. They also keep it pretty clean. But if you came back, I’d switch in a heartbeat. Speaking of coming back, I heard Matt Patrick in Akron is getting ready to hang it up. Maybe they’d have openings for you? Have a great holiday, your fans are still here for you!

Hey you guys! I have missed you something fierce. I know I don’t see you in person like I used to, but being able to turn you on every day (ha, ha) was always fun. I will be checking out the website regularly and hope to show up at some of your in-person locations. Waiting for one of the radio stations around here to recognize true talent. Talk to you soon. – Bonita

    Brian and Joe,

i volunteered the rainbow radiothon yesterday morning…you two were there for a bit to show your support. Im one of the daughters of an ABB employee and all i have to say is, the radiothon is not the same. WDOK are doing an ok job for their first year, but it will never be the same without the two of you. i hope in the future you both will get what you deserve.

What happened to OUR “Veterans Day?”

    A RADIO VETERANS DAY!

The day they should have for veteran broadcasters like myself that were tossed aside after Clinton endorsed the deregulation of the FCC–for, from then on, we were all doomed to be taken over by the great corporate collective.

I have a fully endorsed FCC 1st Class License with a Radar endorsement, because when I first went on the air in the early 70′s you needed a license to change the power at the antenna and also change the pattern to a night-time broadcast pattern when you had two or four towers for AM. Riding the waves of 50,000 watts on a high power AM station was like flying in those days, when “Clear Channel” meant nobody else was on you frequency so you were good to go to cover about four states while you were giving away albums on your radio show. Oregon, Washington, and even some people smoking Maui Wowie over in the islands that sure that added that extra color to your show with the phone bit…

Having a license means nothing now.

Those were the days when the host of your favorite show felt like a personal friend.

Sort of like the feeling you got from listening to Brian and Joe everyday.

Where is our Radio Veterans Day?

Happy Veterans Day Brian and Joe and thanks for all the shows… in my eyes you are true Radio Veterans that often worked on Christmas and Thanksgiving, like myself, if for no other reason that to share our “special time” with our “special radio family”

And FOR YOUR SERVICE to your listeners…

    I SALUTE YOU!!

I have missed you guys! Don’t listen to 106.5 anymore! Boo to them! Lanigan and Malone just aren’t what I want to hear either. Wish you the best and hope to hear you soon on my radio in the morning!

So glad you are back! I have not listened to 106.5 since you left. I knew it was only a matter of time until we’d see you both back in action. You two are the best…always made me laugh on my way to work. Just hearing your voices again seems like home. I will certainly keep up with you here!
Thanks for not giving up…we need you!!!

    Hi Brian and Joe,
I really enjoy the show casts. I haven’t found anything quite like you two. The shows they have on talk a lot about sex and/or drugs. I cant wait (even though I have too) for the both of you to get back on the radio.

I am so glad I stumbled onto your website. My husband and I have missed you both terribly. I have followed you all over the radio dial, since your WONE days. I heard your voices on a Ganley of Wickliffe commercial and stopped dead in my tracks. It was great to hear voices I thought were gone. Keep up the good work. We have complete confidence in finding you on the air with your own show again and soon!

You guys are sorely missed. Boycotting clear channel…the replacements are a far cry from the two of you! When I listen, I get the vibes of the awkward moments when a good friend tells a “funny” that only he laughs at. “Awkward” doesn’t go well with Monday mornings!!

What no showcast today? That’s Life can’t substitute for the Showcast. So not fair. Now it’s a three day weekend without the boys. Hey now that I’m famous, maybe I’ll have my people contact your people and we can work out a weekend show. Keep UP the good work.

OMG how I have missed you and have wondered what you 2 have been up to! I had the rare day off that you guys were subbing for Robin…Thank Gawd, I finally got my long lost fix of the voices of Cleveland, B&J.
I too, have boycotted clear channel and definately wmvx. I haven’t found anything to replace you…and really, my mornings now suck.
So glad I found this site and will be passing it on to all the B&J fans I know…*huge hugs* and will be looking for you to show up on my dial again!!

I was devastated when I realized what Clear Channel did and I havent listened to that station since. It still makes no sense to me. But I am glad you two are still plugging away together. My dream would be to listen to you guys on a station which plays 80′s tunes like the good old 107.9 The End days.
    I will stay tuned!!

    HELLO:
I HAVE BEEN WONDERING WHERE YOU HAVE BEEN. MY MORNINGS JUST AREN’T THE SAME! I TOO QUIT LISTENING TO CLEAR CHANNEL STATIONS AND E-MAILED THEM TO TELL THEM THEY SUCK! I HAD TO DO THE RADIO SURVEY LISTENING TO THE RADIO AND I ALSO MADE MY COMMENT ABOUT HOW 106.5 AND CLEARCHANNEL SUCKS! YOU TWO ARE THE VOICES OF CLEVELAND AND HAVE DONE SO MUCH FOR THIS COMMUNITY. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW AND I KNOW GOD HAS NOTHING BUT GOOD THINGS IN STORE FOR THE TWO OF YOU. GLAD TO SEE YOU ARE STILL HERE! HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY! :)

  41. September 23rd, 2009 at 10:01 | #41

    Now I don’t miss you as much…now you’re just a click away.

We cannot tell you how much we miss not only your show in the morning, but all the wonderful things you did for Rainbows. We were change gang members and are really upset that we did not get to participate in that this year. With our twins being born there as premies, it was very important to us to get involved. We too have stopped listening to the radio since you left. My phone rang all day when it happnened. It was a sad day in the Derbin house. Please keep us posted on future Rainbow events.

Can’t even put into words how much you are missed. There is NOTHING to listen to in the AM. I have tuned into AKRON station just to hear some decent music in the AM, not even caring what they blabber about. My mornings are horribe without you…. Please kept this site up an running. So many organizations and communities are missing your dedicated support. You re not just a radio personaltities, you are the heart of Northeast Ohio…..

  46. September 17th, 2009 at 20:05 | #46

I worked with you at WMMS and at WMVX (briefly) too!

I should have stayed in California, maybe I would still have a show somewhere, when Clear Channel came to town, I knew it was the end of me. I saw that train a coming a long time ago.

Got to tune in and turn on to the NEW Brian and Joe POD Show! YAY!

Hey… I have a new book out! Just had a book signing at Borders Books! The First Battle of the NEW CIVIL WAR– Revenge of the Ghost Wolf!
